San Lorenzo does not have a facade, but it has an amazing interior.  This is one of the oldest churches of Florence (AD 393). It was enlarged as Cathedral in 1059 and then rebuilt by Brunelleschi in 1421 Inside you can admire the two pulpits by Donatello

From outside part you'll get in the Cappelle Medicee (Medici Chapel) to admire first Princes Chapel an octagonal building covered by a big dome. The magnificence is due to the marquetry os precious stones. After the Crypt
The Sacrestia Nuova with the tombs of Medici family is a masterpiece by Michelangelo. He built the building and made the sculptures for the tombs: The Allegories of the Time: Day and Night, and  Twilight and Sunrise.

As you know, Medici family was basic for Florence. They built their palace near the Duomo and San Lorenzo. This is Medici Riccardi Palace built by Michelozzo on commission by Cosimo il Vecchio. Here you'll visit the precious frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli.
